Janet (Rogers) Gorrochotegui

Janet (Rogers) Gorrochotegui, age 64 of Berkley, passed away at her home on October 3, 2022 with her loving family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gustavo Gorrochotegui.

Janet was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Soares) Rogers.

Before retiring Janet was the co-owner and operator with her sister, Janice Boyd, at Development Depot for 19 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to the Caribbean, as well as “Up North” at our family home in Lincoln, NH. She has spent the past 20 years being still deeply in love with her late husband, Gustavo. Her most favorite times and memories were dancing in the living room with her husband and children. Most recently, her favorite memories are being with her daughters and all her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her loving children; Katelyn Cabral and her husband, Daniel, as well as Kelly Simpson and her husband Scott. She has 5 grandchildren, Arianna, Nelia, Gustavo, Tucker, and Teddy. She is also survived by her sister, Janice Boyd and husband, Thomas, and their children, Stacey Nepini and Ryan Boyd, a brother Russell Rogers, as well as her much loved puppy, Bailey.

Janet’s funeral will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square.) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
