Jean A. (Bagnall) Gracia, age 88, of Dighton, passed away on November 17, 2025 at Life Care Center of Raynham surrounded by her family.
Jean was the beloved wife of the late Harold J. Gracia who passed in 2010.
Jean was born on February 1, 1937, in Fall River, the daughter of the late Thomas and Robina (Sinclair) Bagnall. She grew up in the Ocean Grove part of Swansea where she made many beach memories.
Before retiring, Mrs. Gracia was employed with Princess House for over 20 years and Tickle’s Gift Shop in Swansea for 10 years.
Jean was a communicant of the former Saint Peter Church in Dighton where she was a member of the Woman’s Guild and volunteered alongside her husband at the church socials.
She enjoyed traveling, knitting, gardening, shopping, and casino trips. Mrs. Gracia cherished time spent with her family, especially with her grand and great-grandchildren. Christmas Eve was a special time for her where her home was decorated with her Byer’s Choice figures and villages and gifts galore.
While at Life Care, she enjoyed the crafts, bingo, activities, music and meeting new friends.
Mrs. Gracia is survived by her loving children, Deborah Araujo and her husband Thomas, Harold Gracia Jr. and Brenda Roose and her husband Stephen. Grandmother of Katelyn Kapala and her husband Robert, Krista Medeiros and her husband Shane, Dominic Gracia and his girlfriend Ashley Myers, Allison Morrissey and her husband Geoffrey and Jason Roose. Great-grandmother of Ashton, Logan and Ava Medeiros, Lucas, Christina and Anthony Kapala who is due on Jean’s birthday.
Jean was also the sister of the late James Bagnall.
The family wants to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Life Care and Compassionate Care Hospice for all of their compassion and support to Jean and her family.
Mrs. Gracia’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:30am with a service to begin at 12:30pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
A private interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
