On March 24th, Jeffrey (Jeff) Gouvia, beloved father, brother and friend, passed away at the age of 53 years young.
Born in Taunton, Jeff is the son of Brenda (Mello) Gouvia and the late Robert Gouvia of East Taunton.
Mr Gouvia was recently employed with Boston’s Best Coffee Roasters as a coffee machine repairman.
Jeff’s passion for the great outdoors was known by all. He was an avid hunter and fisherman a member of the Canal Rats group, he was often found fishing down the Cape. He enjoyed hunting and all things wildlife, eager to see the next images captured from his trail-cam.
Music was another passion of Jeffs, growing up he enjoyed many concerts of all his favorite bands, especially Slayer.
Jeff loved spending time with family and many of his friends were also considered family. Jeffs love for others lead him to serve as security at Christ Community Church in East Taunton in the past.
Known for his humor, he often brought laughter to any gathering he was at. He was so very much loved by all and will be missed greatly.
Besides his beloved mother Brenda, Jeff is survived by his loving children; Jeffrey Gouvia, II of Taunton, and Allysa Gouvia and her fiancé Kyle Pimentel of Attleboro. He is the grandfather (Papa) of 3 month old Ryder Pimentel, brother of Stephen Gouvia and his wife Kelly Gouvia of Berkley; brother of Lisa Gouvia and her fiancé Mike Patinko of Fall River. He is also the uncle of Deanna Gouvia, James Gouvia, Kaylee Patinko, Patrick Tate, Derek Parsons, Chloe Parsons, Jeffrey Kullas, Angelo Figueiredo Jr, Gavin Tate, Chelsey Tate, Meghan Tate, Marshall Tate, and the late Annie Tate.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on Friday, May 13, 2023 from 1pm to 5pm at the Lafayette Club 18 Lakeview Avenue, Taunton Ma 02780.
