Jeffrey S. Rickman, age 66 of Taunton MA passed away peacefully at his home on April 21, 2025.

Jeffrey was born on February 26, 1959 in Hartford CT.  He was the beloved son of the late Rose L. (Tishenback) Rickman, his brother the late William E. Rickman of Hudson FL.

He is survived by his loving sister, Sallie A Murphy of Sandwich MA and his nephews Michael F Murphy and Cameron T Cliff and his niece Erika Rickman Webb of NC. He is also survived by his father, Herrold V Rickman of RI, who is currently 97 years of age.

Jeffrey worked a variety of construction jobs over the years, prior to his disabled veteran status.  His most celebrated accomplishment in life was serving his country in the US Army for two terms, most notably from 1989-1993, where he served overseas during Operation Desert Storm, serving in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Iraq in the HHC 2/18 Infantry, Forscom FC out of Fort Benning, GA.  He was awarded the Bronze Service Star, National Defense Service Medal, Expert Marksmanship Badge (Rifle, M16, Sharpshooter and Grenade), the Southwest Asia Medal, and the Kuwait Liberation Medal/Saudi Arabia.

Jeff was a proud Disabled Veteran who always helped fellow Veterans, and was a very active church member of Christ Community Church in East Taunton MA.  He helped build the church from its infancy and remained devoted  to its members and the Lord with great conviction.

Jeff loved his family and always took time to reach out to everyone, including 1st cousins to 4th cousins.   He had a special connection to Kenneth Cliff of Buzzards Bay MA and his 4th cousin Marc MacLennan of Dighton MA.  They were a consistent sounding board to Jeff during some tumultuous times in his life and they never veered from their support of Jeff.  Jeff enjoyed fishing, being with his church community, and most especially spending time with his devoted friend, Louise Diaz of Taunton, who was a constant and unwavering friend to Jeff.  Her devotion to him was unrelenting and he loved her with all his heart.  Jeff was also pre-deceased by his long time partner of 16 years, AJ Metea of Taunton.  Her son, Kris Metea has been a never-ending support for not only Jeff, but for Sallie who remains eternally grateful to him for his strength and support for her.

A military service was held for Jeffrey at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA on May 15, 2025.
