RAYNHAM- Jessica M. (Sartre) Faria, 39, of Raynham, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife to David W. Faria, whom she married October 14, 2016.
She was born on July 2, 1984, in Boston. Jess grew up in Raynham, where she was raised by her Nana, Helen. She graduated from Bristol-Plymouth High School as a member of the Class of 2002.
For many years Jess was employed in the medical field working in various positions. Most recently, she took pride in working as a Homemaker and Caretaker for her Nana, while also providing a safe and comforting home to all.
To Jess, her most rewarding accomplishment has always been her children, Dude and Avery. She was nothing less than immensely proud to be their mother.
Jess lived a life of love, laughter and forgiveness, although that life was far too short. She fought the hardest battle, but never let it define her. She loved to travel to Aruba and cherished the time spent with her children and friends. Her vibrant personality and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, David, her grandmother Helen Sartre, who raised her, Jess was the devoted mother to her two children: David J. Faria (Dude) and Avery H. Faria; her aunts and uncle: Kerry Vasapollo and her husband Michael, Danny Sartre and his wife Mary, Lana Sartre, and the late Billy Sarte; her mother in- law: JoAnn Faria; her cousin: Amanda Sartre; and also many cousins, nieces and nephews and her lifelong friends.
She was the cherished granddaughter of the late Richard Sartre.
Jess's funeral will be held on Friday, December 8 , 2023 at 11am followed by a funeral service at 12pm in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 7 , 2023 from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North Side of the funeral home.
