Joan (Mcmillan) Costa

Joan (McMillan) Costa, age 71 of North Dighton, passed away on January 21, 2018 at Marian Manor.

She was the beloved wife of John C. Costa, Sr.

Joan was born in Fall River, a daughter of the late James and Ethal Mae (Bryant) McMillan.

Joan was a 1964 graduate of Durfee High School. Before retirement, she was an activity director for many years in nursing homes. She was a Sunday School teacher with the Dighton Community Church, was involved with the Dighton Lions Club and loved working with the community.

Besides her loving husband John of 51 years she is survived by her son John Costa Jr., and daughter Anne Costa both from Dighton. She also leaves two grandchildren; Joshua Gracia of Wisconsin and his wife Hallie, and Crystal Gracia of Taunton, a sister; Anne C. Costa, two brothers; Bryant McMillan of Somerset and his wife Sheila, and Robert McMillan of Fall River and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late John M. Costa, and the sister of the late Anne Lavoie and sister- in –law of the late Andre Lavoie.

Services and burial will be private.
