Joan M (Gonsalves) Perry

Joan M. (Gonsalves)  Perry, age 82 of East Taunton, passed away on May 6, 2018 at Boston Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Perry.

Joan was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Machado) Gonsalves.

Before retirement, Mrs. Perry was employed with Motorola as a customer service representative for over 20 years.  She was a volunteer with the Hopewell School and loved to shop. Joan was a loving and caring person, devoted to her family.

Mrs. Perry is survived by her loving children, Ronald and his wife Sandra Perry of Raynham, Susan Smith and her husband Stephen of Taunton and Lorna Murphy of East Taunton, grandmother of Jeffrey, Tess, Steve and Amanda and great-grandmother of 6. She was also the sister of Jack Gonsalves of Taunton and Lucille Mallette of East Taunton.

Joan’s funeral with visitation will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 8am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Family Church Middleboro Ave in East Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts made to the American Kidney Foundation in Joan’s memory would be deeply appreciated.
