Joao A. Pacheco, age 88 of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Morton Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Maria D. (Pedra) Pacheco.
Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria Eugenia Pacheco.
Besides his wife Maria of 58 years he is survived by his children; Paulo Pacheco and wife Paula, Joao M. Pacheco and wife Ana, Ana Barreiro and husband Antonio, Rita Rocha and husband Afonso, Maria Tsantoulas and husband Jimmy, Ivone Rainha and husband Joao Carlos, Maria Salema and husband Gilberto, siblings; Jose Lima and Rita Lima. He was also survived by his grandchildren; Sara Rocha and fiancé Pat, Kevin Barreiro and wife Victoria, Sabrina Rocha and partner Paul, Melissa Manganaro and husband Jarrid, Andrew Rocha, Jonathan Pacheco, Brian Pacheco, Nicole Pacheco, Marisa Gillam, Sabrina Lima, Gualter Rainha, Marli Correia and husband Andre, Nedia Vieira and husband Victor, Maria Ivone Rainha, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Joao’s funeral with visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 9 am with a service to begin at 11 am in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
