Joaquim Cabral Sousa

Joaquim Cabral Sousa, 91 of Cherry Avenue, Taunton passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Morton Hospital. He was the Husband of the late Maria Conceicao (DeSa) Sousa.

Born  in Chas De Tavares, Portugal he was the son of the late Antonio and Rosalina (Cabral) Sousa Lemos.

Mr. Sousa worked as a Machine Operator for thirty years with Reed & Barton. He Loved Soccer Gardening and Traveling.

He leaves two daughters, Carminda F. Pereira (Jose) of Cumming, Georgia, Maria C. Andrade of Taunton, one Brother, Miguel Lemos of Taunton, two Sisters, Patrocina Lemos of Portugal, Maria Pereira of Washington, D.C., four grandchildren, Daniel Pereira, Steven Pereira, Jeremy Andrade, Sabrina Andrade, four great grandchildren, Kalleigh Andrade, Jazmin Pereira, Kamran Pereira, Hailey Pereira.

Mr. Sousa was the brother of the late, Antonio, Jose, Augusto, Conceicao, Auria Sousa.

His Funeral will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, at 8:30 am from the SILVA FUNERAL HOME 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton ,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in Saint Anthony Church School St, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, January 19th  from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
