Joaquim “Jack” Medeiros age 83 of Dighton, passed away on November 22, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Jack was the beloved husband of Mary "Loli" (Machado) Medeiros.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Joaquim and Beatrice (Costa) Medeiros.
Before his retirement, Jack was employed with a local Boston Union as a bricklayer for 50 years.
He was a member of Bay State Beagle Club, Cranston Rod and Gun Club, and a former member of the Taunton Elks.
Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, scuba diving, and raising beagles. He also enjoyed vacations with his family.
Besides his beloved wife Loli of over 63 years, Jack is survived by his loving children; Jack Medeiros of Dighton and Jean Zincone of Westerly, RI. He was the proud grandfather of Jacob Zincone and is also survived my many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was also the brother of the late Joseph Medeiros, Ralph Medeiros and the late Elveda Gramo.
Joaquim’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church, Spring Street in North Dighton.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 26th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral Home.
