TAUNTON - Joaquin "Jack" Teixeira, husband of Kathleen (Rose) Teixeira,
died on Tuesday Sept. 23rd at Morton Hospital. He was 63.
Born in Terceira, Azores, he was the son of Anelce and Delfina (Soares) Teixeira.
Educated in the Azores, he moved to this area in 1960 and worked as a solderer for various silver companies in the Taunton area for all of his adult life, before retiring in 2005.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, he enjoyed raising show rabbits.
Besides his wife and parents, all of Taunton, he leaves 2 daughters, Jacqueline K. Andrade of Taunton and Annemarie Teixeira of Raynham; 5 brothers, Frank, Domingos, and James Teixeira all of Taunton, Charles Teixeira of East Taunton, and Joseph Teixeira of Wareham; 5 sisters Alexandrina Costa, Eugenia Mendonca, Delfina Desrosiers, Lorraine Teixeira, and Mary Hill all of Taunton; 7 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, on Saturday Sept. 27th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
