John Lima, age 50 of Lakeville, passed away on July 12, 2018.
He was the beloved husband of Lisa (Diogo) Lima.
John was born in Taunton, son of the late John P. and Mary Elisa (DaCosta) Lima.
Mr. Lima graduated from Umass Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and was employed with Westinghouse. He also previously worked at his family owned Dunkin Donuts in New Bedford.
John loved spending time with his loved ones and enjoyed saltwater fishing.
Besides his beloved wife Lisa of over 26 years, John is survived by his loving children Joshua Lima and Elisa Lima. He was also the brother of Linda Lima of Rehoboth and uncle of Chrystal, Brittany and Ian. Brother in law to Danny Diogo of Raynham, nephews Austin and Dimitri Diogo of Seekonk and mother in law Mary Jo Diogo from Lakeville. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.(Relatives and friends may meet directly at the church.) Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 22nd from 1 to 4 pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. (Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)
