John E. Monteiro, age 83 of Taunton, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (Burgo) Monteiro.
Mr. Monteiro was born in Wareham, the son of the late Lillian (Lopes) Chantre.
He is survived by his son John A. Monteiro and fiancé Diana Desousa, daughters; Dorothy McKenny, Jenny Burgo and long -time companion Paul Pina, Mary Fisher, brother; Anthony Lopes. He also leaves 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. John was the father of the late Joseph Burgo, Dennis Burgo, and brother-in-law of the late Lee McKenny.
Relatives and friends may assemble at 10:30 am on Friday, March 12, 2021 in the main parking area of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, for a funeral procession to Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
