John C. Murphy, age 78 of North Dighton, passed away on January 30, 2021 at Morton Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Carolyn (Souza) Murphy.
John was born in Fall River the son of the late Edward and Catherine (Ryan ) Murphy.
Before retiring, John was employed with Stop & Shop warehouse as a foreman. He enjoyed working in his yard, playing golf and horseshoes and building his beloved T Bucket. He was a loving and caring person who cherished time spent with his family.

(Lucy) of Taunton, Ann Marie Vassar (Michael)of Pawtucket, Janet Vassar of North Dighton and Catherine Sheldon (Ward) of CA, grandfather of Christine, Samantha, Matthew, Kelsey, Ryan and Andrew, great-grandfather of Leah, Dennis, Matthew, Lincoln and Ryan. John was the brother of Edward Murphy of FL, James Murphy of RI, Richard Murphy of Westport, Barbara Fleck of TX, Sheila Stansfield, Linda Renard and Donna LePage all of Swansea and was the brother of the late Margaret Masse and the late Mary Eney.
Mr. Murphy’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11:30am with a funeral service to begin at 12:30 in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will be held privately in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Somerset.
