John A. Osso, 72, of North Dighton, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Adeline (Alves) Osso. They were married for 48 years.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Young) Osso.
Mr. Osso worked as a Middle School math teacher in Cranston, RI, tutored students after school for many years and also worked at the Home Depot in Seekonk, MA. John enjoyed his many trips to Walt Disney World. He loved staying at the Grand Floridian Resort.
In addition to his wife Adeline, he leaves his three children, Brenda Vasconcellos, and her fiance, Anthony Nastari, of Swansea, Allyson Pires, and her husband, Michael Pires, of East Taunton, and Sarah Diniz, and her husband, Nathan Diniz, of Warren, RI; six grandchildren, twins Jason and Michael, twins Ava and Jacob, Anthony and Danny; a niece, Sharon Trahan, DMD and his beloved cat, Bentley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 10:00am, in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church, 499 Spring Street, North Dighton. Interment will be privately held. Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted.
Facial coverings and social distancing will be required during services.
