John Paquette

d. April 14, 2025

John Paquette, age 72 of Taunton, passed away suddenly on April 14, 2025 at Morton Hospital.

He was the husband of Rose (Vieira) Paquette.

Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late John and Theresa (McEnaney) Paquette.

John was a thoughtful and adoring husband, an exceptional father, a playful and attentive grandfather, a devoted friend, and a role model to many. His kindness and selflessness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. A dedicated and hardworking man, he poured decades of his life into the plumbing industry with pride and integrity. His colleagues were fortunate to work alongside someone so committed and dependable.

He was a sun worshiper at heart, and it was under the sun that he met his perfect match, Rose. Their story began on Horseneck Beach, blossoming into a beautiful partnership that gifted his son and daughter a cherished bonus mom and brought a new circle of friendships into his life. He found joy in the simple things—meticulously caring for his yard, gathering loved ones around a fire, and soaking up every ray of sunlight he could find, often with a cold Heineken in hand. He made friends wherever he went, his warmth, generosity, and sense of humor drawing people to him effortlessly. He always put others first, and his radiant smile brought joy to those lucky enough to share in his life. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering support—and he will be deeply missed.

Besides his beloved wife Rose of 22 years, he is survived by his loving children; Nicole Fernandes and husband Tony, Michael Paquette, grandchildren; Adriana Paquette, Miles Paquette, Joseph Fernandes, sisters; Linda Lanza and husband Paul, Joan Paquette and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Thomas Paquette and Joseph Paquette.
