John W. Perry, Jr.,  age 74 of Taunton, the beloved husband of Maureen (Reilly) Perry, passed away on November 10, 2018,  the birthday of his heart donor Darren Minors of Bermuda at Saint Anne’s Hospital.

Born in Fall River, John was a son of the late John and Alice (Bettencourt) Perry, Sr.

Before retiring, Mr. Perry was employed by Texas Instruments for many years as a tool room supervisor.

He was an Army Reserve Veteran, PVT E-2, a member of the Vietnam Veterans Brotherhood of Bravo Co in Ft. Myers FL., a member of the American Legion-Raynham as well as the PACC.

John enjoyed his motorcycle, fishing, camping, NASCAR and wintering in Florida for the past 16 years.

Besides his beloved wife Maureen of over 30 years, he is survived by his children; Kenneth Perry and companion Christine of Mansfield, Allison Gingras and husband Kevin of Raynham, Kristen Jorgensen-Perry and wife Andrea of West Roxbury, a brother Edward Perry and wife Eileen of FL and a sister Elaine Geggatt and her late husband Roy of Tiverton. He was also the step father of Kurt Stevens and wife Lauren of NC, Sherry Stevens and companion Steven of Taunton and grandfather of Joseph, Justin, Ian, Adam, Faith, Carsen, Ginger and Gavin. John also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Perry’s funeral will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Family Church Middleboro Avenue in East Taunton. Interment will be held privately.

Visiting hours will be held in the Silva Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 14th from 4 to 7 pm.

(Additional parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home.)
