John C. Rideout, III, 65 of Taunton, passed away at his residence on September 4, 2019.
Born in New Jersey, John is the beloved son of John C. Rideout, Jr. and Carmie (Zimmerman) Rideout.
John served his country proudly with the Army National Guard.
Prior to retirement, he worked as a meat cutter at South Shore Packing in Brockton, MA.
John enjoyed fishing, visiting the casino, and played baseball as a kid.
Besides his beloved parents, John is survived by a son Matthew Rideout; three sisters; Constance LaMattina of ME, Helen Occhipinti, of Berkley and Linda Rideout, of NC. He was the brother of the late Daniel Rideout. John was also survived by many loving, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm, in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square)
Additional parking with handicap access Is located on the North side of the funeral home.
John’s interment with military honors will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 12:30 pm, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne (Relatives and friends are kindly asked to arrive at 12:15pm in the administration parking area to join the procession)
