John H. “Jack” Bergen, 79, of Raynham, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, April 6th, 2018.
He was the loving husband of Audrey A. (Pinto) Bergen, with whom he shared over 40 years as Life and Marriage Partner.
Born in Boston, Jack was a son of the late John Francis and Mary (Williams) Bergen.
A Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he was a past Exalted Ruler of the Middleboro Elk's Lodge and also was very active with the Mitchell Memorial Club. Jack loved driving and worked as a truck driver for Ryan Ironworks in Raynham.
Jack was the father of John Bergen and his wife, Jennifer of Middleboro, Dawn Bergen Knowles and her late husband, Kevin Knowles of Granby, CT, and Patrick Bergen and his wife, Robin of Middleboro; Step-Children, Michael Pinto and his wife, Claudia of Orange, CA, Jay Pinto and his wife, Lynne of Woburn, Kimberly Abbott and her husband, David of Brockton, and Carrie Eddins of Virginia; Brother of Kathy Chapin of Abington, Joanne Bergen of Rochester, NY and the late Marianne Caia. He was also survived by 19 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Jack's funeral will be held on Thursday, April 12th at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow in St. Ann Church, Raynham at 10:00am. Interment with Military Honors in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation on Wednesday from 5-8pm.
