João Manuel Oliveira

João M. Oliveira, 52, of East Taunton, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Morton Hospital. He was the loving husband of Adriana M. (Pacheco) Oliveira. They were married for thirty three years.

Born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Geraldine M. (Sousa Cabral) Oliveira, of New Jersey, and the late Edmundo Oliveira.

He worked most recently as a foreman at Oldcastle Precast for fifteen years.

João loved soccer, and closely followed Juventus and his favorite player, Cristiano Ronaldo. He enjoyed shopping, watches, and sunglasses. Mr. Oliveira and his wife loved vacationing and traveling. They loved their trips to Europe and Italy. He was also very fascinated by airplanes and how they were constructed.

In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves his two children, Christopher J. Oliveira, Michaela Oliveira, and her fiancé, Ricardo Melo, of Taunton; father in law, Antonio Pacheco; a sister in law, Michelle Roy, and her husband, Gerard, a brother in law, Michael Pacheco; and several nephews; a great niece; and his dog, Diego.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10:00am, in Saint Anthony Church, 126 School Street, Taunton. Interment will be privately held.

Facial coverings and social distancing will be required during all services.
