José Henriques, age 42 of New Jersey and formerly of Taunton, passed away peacefully at his home in Jersey City, NJ on February 4, 2020.
Jose was born on April 17, 1977 in Taunton, he was the husband of Bryce Eric Morrison, of Jersey City, NJ and the beloved son of José and Maria (Jesus) Henriques both of Taunton.
A graduate of Coyle & Cassidy High School, Class of 1995. He married Bryce, his longtime life partner, in December 2018 and was a twenty year veteran human resources professional at H & M Clothing Stores.
He was a beloved son, cherished friend and loyal husband. José was a generous soul, whose love for life and contagious personality touched everyone he met. He was a proud first-generation Portuguese immigrant with a love for family and community above all else, and especially loved coming home to Taunton for Christmas to spend time with his mom and dad. José will be missed by many. He was also the proud parent of Biscuit La Belle, their 2-year-old Chihuahua.
José funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in Saint Anthony Church, School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate José's life.
