Jose S. Goulart, age 87 of Taunton, passed away on June 6, 2022 at Morton Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Maria (Freitas) Goulart.
Jose was born in Faial, Azores, the son of the late Joao and Rosa (Machado) Goulart.
Before retiring, Mr. Goulart was employed with George Keith Shoe Repair for many years before retiring in 1999.
Jose and Maria immigrated to the US in 1969
He enjoyed going for walks, gardening, taking care of his grape vines, making wine, mason work and carpentry.
Besides his beloved wife Maria of over 55 years, he is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Goulart. Mr. Goulart is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Maria Lacerda Goulart, Ana Goulart, Manuel Goulart, Liduina Goulart, Alexandria Goulart as well as the late Antonio Goulart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11am at Saint Anthony Church 126 School Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends may meet directly at the church at 10:45am.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
