Jose A. Molina, fondly known as "Papin" was born to Antonio Molina and Pascuala Fuentes on July 21, 1943, in Loiza Puerto Rico. He came to the US when he was 19 years old and from then on, called the US home.
Papin loved to teach the Word of God and did it with such enthusiasm that many still recall his teachings to this day. Molina was known for drawing inspiration from experiences, everyday life and even the environment to come up with a sermon. "El guineo" being the most remembered.
Jose worked for the City of Taunton Parks and Recreation department for many years. A job and place he considered family.
Molina will be remembered for his love of the Red Sox, love of cologne, nice clothes, aguacates, and of course his love of the Lord. He knelt and prayed until his last breath.
This last breath was taken on September 6, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded by those he loved.
A grave-side service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 1pm in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.
