Jose A. Silveira, age 65 of Taunton, passed away on May 9, 2022 with his loving family by his side.
Jose was born in Flores, Azores, the beloved son of Orlando and Lucinda (Mendonca) Silveira of Taunton.
Before retiring, Mr. Silveira was employed with KMS Machine. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing.
Besides his beloved parents, Jose is survived by his loving children, George Silveira, Emily Truelove and Deborah Silveira, grandfather of Avarie Silveira, Jason Silveira, Ashley Mullin, and Isabella Silveira and his brother Armando Silveira. He was also the brother of the late Manuel Silveira, Lucinda Silveira and Tina Silveira. Jose was also beloved uncle to Krista Silveira, Alex Silveira, Jessica Sherman, and Jamie Paiva. He was also the uncle of the late Tara Silveira.
Mr. Silveira’s funeral will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 7:45am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 15th from 2 to 5pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the Funeral Home.
