Joseph Raymond Coelho, Sr.

Joseph R. Coelho, Sr., “Ray’’ 76, of Taunton, passed away on January 29, 2019 at the Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in Taunton, he was a son of the late Frank M. Coelho and Theresa R. (Goulet) Coelho.

He worked as a manager for Carroll Cable for thirty-six years prior to retirement. Ray served his country proudly in the United States Marines during the Vietnam war.

Ray enjoyed spending time with Isabella, Lady and Bubba. He loved football, skating, hunting, fishing and in his younger years, he played hockey.

He leaves his four children, Joseph R. Coelho, Jr., Dawn M. Coelho Antoine, Timothy M. Coelho, and Amanda J. Coelho; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three sisters, Louise Correia, Theresa Rasmussen, and Lorraine Coelho. Ray was the brother of the late Ralph, James, Michael, Xavier, Tony, Francis, Roger, Edward, Peggy, and Shirley.

Joseph’s funeral with visitation will begin on Tuesday , February 19, 2019 at 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square)

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Interment with military honors along with his two brothers, the late Francis E. Coelho and Michael R. Coelho will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
