Joseph R. Duncan , 75, of Raynham, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. He was the loving husband of the late Judy L. (Thompson) Duncan for 50 years.
Born in Dorchester, MA, he was the son of the late George W. and Julia (Sears) Duncan.
Joseph worked as a pipe fitter for many years in the Boston area shipyards and later retired from Brockton Hospital's environmental services.
An avid Boston Red Sox fan, he enjoyed playing scratch tickets, and watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune game shows on TV. One of his favorite pastimes is traveling to Bermuda many times with his beloved wife.
He is survived by his three children, Robert A. Duncan, Scott W. Duncan, and Stephanie L. Duncan; four grandchildren, Joshua, Natalie, Justin, and Andrew; six siblings, Julia, Donna, James, David, Helen, and Jesse; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Duncan was the brother of the late George and Richard Duncan.
Joseph's visiting hours will be held on Thursday , September 27, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary's Square) Interment will be privately held.
