Joseph Medeiros, age 84 of Taunton, passed away on July 17, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
He was the beloved husband of Maria Vivaldina (Cabral) Medeiros.
Joseph was born in Terceira, Azores, the son of the late Jose and Maria (Custodia) Medeiros
Before retiring, Mr. Medeiros was employed with Reed and Barton as a silversmith for many years.
Mr. Medeiros loved watching hockey and had a great love for all animals. Most of all Joseph was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.
Besides his beloved wife Maria of over 56 years, he is survived by his loving children; Valarie Medeiros and companion Jerome Silva,Jr., George Medeiros and Lawrence Medeiros all of Taunton, grandfather of Jerome , III, Darrell and Vere. He was the brother of Conceicao Amorim of Canada. He was also the brother of the late Antonio Medeiros, Fatima Rocha and the late Orlanda Sousa.
Joseph’s funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 9am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.
Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.
