Joseph M. Pierre, age 100 of Taunton, passed away on September 19, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Massenat) Pierre.
Born in Marmalade, Haiti, Joseph was the son of the late Ciès and Servilie (Jean) Pierre.
Mr. Pierre was a self employed coffee sales rep for many years.
He attended services at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in South Providence.
Joseph enjoyed music, playing cards, sitting outside, gardening, and playing with his grandchildren.
Besides his beloved wife Marie of over 76 years, Joseph is survived by his loving daughters; Myrlene Mercidieu, Noucheline Debrosse , Vierge Preval and Rose Pierre; his siblings: Hector Pierre and Marthe Pierre; his 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and also many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He is preceded in passing by his sons: Henry Michel Pierre and Renel Pierre and his brothers: Chilet Pierre and Normil Pierre.
Joseph's funeral will be held on Saturday , October 5, 2024 at 9:30am followed by a funeral service at 10am in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) Taunton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday , October 4, 2024 from 5 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North Side of the funeral home.
