Joseph C. Roster, 89, of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2023.
Born in Taunton, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Isabelle (Bohen) Roster.
A Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he worked as a custodian for Canton Public Schools. An avid reader of military history, Joseph was always fond of a good word search and enjoyed 50's era classic cars.
Survivors include his children, Joseph Roster and his wife Emmi of Wichita Falls, Texas, William Roster of Salem, New Hampshire, Elizabeth Young and her late husband John of Canton, and Mary Washburn and her husband Charles of Foxboro; a brother, Atty. Edward A. Roster of Raynham; grandchildren, Ehmie Rose Calicdan-Brackins, Romeo Calicdan, Irene Calicdan-Jackson, Steven Young, Jennifer Young, Timothy Young, David Washburn and James Washburn; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 15th, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, where his funeral service will take place at 11:00am. Interment with Military Honors to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will held on Wednesday, June 14th, from 5-8pm.
