Joseph E. Santos, Sr., age 80 of Bridgewater, passed away the morning of November 28, 2025 after a brief illness.

He was the beloved husband of Jane (McIntosh) Santos, his college sweetheart from their time spent studying together at Bentley University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Born in Fall River, Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Perry) Santos. He was a 1963 graduate of Coyle High School in Taunton, Massachusetts and Bentley University in 1967. He was raised in Taunton Massachusetts, eventually moving to Brockton and then Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Joe was a proud member of the Massachusetts National Guard Unit 772 out of Taunton.

Before retiring, Joe was employed for over four decades with Beacon Capital Partners LLC in Boston, Massachusetts as a Certified Public Accountant, where he leaves behind many friends and colleagues. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife and fellow members of the New England Viking Motorcycle Club and Women on Wheels. When he was not on his motorcycle, he could be found doing work around his yard and supporting his children and grandchildren at their sporting events. He never missed a gymnastics meet, dance recital, hockey game, softball tournament, or track meet, nor did he ever miss an opportunity to celebrate with ice cream after any event. Joe was always the first phone call if a pipe was leaking, wood needed stacking, or a light fixture needed wiring. If it was broken, Joe fixed it. Joe was immensely loyal and ever reliable with all those that he called family or friend. To the casual acquaintance he may have seemed quiet and reserved but to those who loved him and knew him well he was insightful, caring and saw he had a great; albeit very dry sense of humor.

In addition to his beloved wife Jane of over 56 years, he is survived by his loving children, Julie M. Santos and her husband Barry of Duxbury and Joseph E. Santos, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Chandler, Arizona. He was also the proud “Grandpa” of Maddison and Barry “Remy” of Duxbury and Mason and Cooper of Chandler, Arizona.

Joseph’s funeral will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home at 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Ann Church in Raynham.
