Joyce A. (Gomes) Hackett, age 77 of Taunton, passed away at her residence on December 9, 2021 with her loving family by her side.
Joyce was born in Taunton, the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Ann (Enos) Gomes.
Before retiring, Joyce was employed with Paul A. Dever School and Joe’s Diner for over 38 years.
Joyce was a loving and caring soul who always had a smile and willing to help a person in need. Joyce took very good care of her brother Bob before his passing in December of 2019, even though she was ill herself.
She is survived by her sons; Shawn and Bob Hackett as well as 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren along with many friends who will miss her. She was the sister of the late Robert Gomes.
Her funeral with visitation will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 11 am with a service to begin at 12 Noon in the Chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
