Joyce Marie (Sousa) Masapollo

TAUNTON - Joyce Marie (Sousa) Masapollo, wife of the late Gaetano C "Guy" Masapollo, died at her Taunton home on June 25, 2016.
She was 77.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Anna (Butler) Sousa. She was raised and educated in Taunton and was a graduate of Taunton High School.
A retired ER secretary, Mrs. Masapollo was employed by Morton Hospital for many years until 2006 and was a member of the Morton Hospital Retirees.
She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Steven Masapollo of Fairhaven, Mark Masapollo of Fall River and Gary Masapollo and his wife Bonnie of Texas; a daughter, Cheryl Kenney and her husband Paul of Taunton; a brother, Neil Sousa of Taunton; a sister, Beverly Stevens of Taunton; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, June 29th at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, North Dighton at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 28th from 4 to 7 p.m.
Burial will be private at the Mass. National VA Cemetery in Bourne.
