d. November 22, 2021

Julia A. (Veiga) Lopes, age 84 of Attleboro, passed away on November 22, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Scituate, MA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Luella (Hicks) Veiga.

Our mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, godmother,, aunt, cousin, sister, friend, Julia could be described by four F words- faithful, friendly,  feisty and funny. She loved people and people loved her. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Strangers became friends and friends became family. Julia was unforgettable and will surely be missed.

Julia was well loved by friends and family alike. Julia touched many, many people. She retired in 2011 from the Department of Correction where she worked in the Human Resources Dept. as a Payroll Administrator. Julia was a devout Catholic. She attended church at the Holy Family Rectory in East Taunton, MA. Julia loved chicken, lasagna and jag (a Portuguese  rice dish). She loved her family very, very much.
