Julie A. Bauer

Julie A. (Wirka) Bauer, age 89 of Rehoboth, passed away on March 16, 2026 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Julie was the loving companion of Terry Crockett.

Born in Madison, WI, the daughter of the late Herman and Mildred (Engler) Wirka.

Before retiring, Julie was employed with the US Government with the census bureau for many years.

Julie was a graduate of Brown University. She loved all animals especially dogs and birds, she enjoyed reading working in her flower garden and traveling throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Asia.

Besides her beloved companion Terry of over 45 years, Julie is survived by her children, Christiane Stakely and her husband Bob of Michigan, Michele Stenberg and husband Kurt of Providence, Jacques Bauer and wife Nelly, Jean-Claude Bauer both of France, grandmother of 13, great-grandmother of many. Julie was also the sister of the late Dr. Herman Wirka, Jr. She also is survived by her dear friends Matt and Lisa Bellas.
