TAUNTON - Juliet N. (Nunes) Murais, wife of the late Adelino Murais, died at her Taunton home on Feb. 29, 2012.
She was 94.
Born, raised and educated in Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Polycarpo and Felicidade (Gouveia) Nunes.
She moved to the U.S. with her family in 1927 and was later employed as a machine operator for the former Taunton Dress Company where she worked for forty-nine years.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, she was active in church affairs and was a supporter of several charitable organizations.
In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, handicrafts and gardening.
A worldwide traveler, she also enjoyed excursions to Foxwoods.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen M. Peters of New Bedford; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She was also the mother of the late Nancy J. Durham.
Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
