Karen Marie (Andrade) Gallagher

Karen M. Gallagher (Andrade) 71, of Whitman, passed away on Sunday February 23, 2020 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the loving and devoted wife of David J. Gallagher since 1970.

Born in Taunton, she was a daughter of the late Antone R. Andrade, Sr. and Javina B. “Elsie” (Barber) Andrade.

She worked as an executive administrative assistant at Raytheon for fifty three years. Karen enjoyed the beach, shopping for jewelry, traveling, and music.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a brother, Antone R. (“Tony” or “Terry") Andrade, Jr.; two sisters, Noella M. Thompson, and her husband Tim, of Terre Haute, IN, and Lisa A. Andrade, and her husband, John of Taunton; her in laws, Rosemary and Ernie Anzivino, of Northville, Michigan, Carol Block, of Norco, California, a brother in law, Charles Gallagher, and his wife, Marianne of Youngstown, Ohio; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square)

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 8:30 am, in the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in Saint Anthony Church, School Street, Taunton.

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
