Kathleen May (Silvia) Martin

BERKLEY - Kathleen May (Silvia) Martin, wife of the late Joseph F. Martin, Sr., died at the Marian Manor on Aug. 31, 2011.
She was 80.
Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late George and Emma (Paige) Silvia.
She was a longtime resident of Berkley.
A self-employed farmer and homemaker, Mrs. Martin operated the family farm with her late husband for many years.
She was a communicant of Annunciation of The Lord Church.
Mrs. Martin enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She leaves two sons, Joseph F. Martin, Jr. of Berkley and Jeffrey F. Martin of Taunton; a daughter, Rosemary Hardy of Berkley; two brothers, George and Richard Silvia, both of Taunton; a sister, Shirley (Furtado) Almeida of FL; (formerly of Taunton), eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Kathleen Moss, and the grandmother of the late Skyla Ann and Joseph Martin 3rd.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, Sept. 6th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday Sept 5th from 4 to 7 p.m.
