Kathleen C. Michney

Kathleen C. (Cunningham) Michney, wife of the late Paul P. Michney, died on Monday, Sept. 15th at the Life Care Center of Raynham. She was 87.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Catherine A. (Drumm) Cunningham.
A resident of Taunton for many years, she was educated in Taunton Catholic schools, graduating from the former St. Mary's High School in 1938.
She worked for many years as a home health aide in Taunton area homes, retiring in 1985.
A communicant of St. Paul's Church, and a past member of the parish Women's Guild, she was also a member of the Oakland Seniors.
A former member of the Taunton Civic Chorus, she enjoyed singing, music, reading and solving crossword puzzles.
She leaves 2 sons, James G. Michney of Fall River, MA and Gerard P. Michney of Austerlitz, NY; 2 daughters, Elizabeth A. Way of Boynton Beach, FL and Mary K. Michney of New Bedford, MA; and several grandchildren, niece and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Rose Ralko and James and John Cunningham.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, Sept. 18th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Paul's Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at the Massachusetts National VA Cemetery in Bourne at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be on Wednesday, Sept. 17th from 4 to 7 p.m.
