Kevin Lawrence

Kevin Robert Lawrence, age 50 of Abington, MA passed away on March 4, 2018.

He was the beloved husband of the late Dr. Robert J. Staniewicz.

Kevin was born in Taunton, a son of the late James G. Lawrence and the late Jean P. (Silva) Lawrence Hammershmidt.

Kevin graduated with an MBA, high honors from University of Maryland.  He was a senior database administrator in the technology industry.  His hobbies and interests were broad including music, DJ for fun, building computers and all things technology, collecting clocks, tubing and camping.  He was a talented musician in his own right, playing multiple instruments with an expertise in guitar.  He found great joy in his nieces and nephews and loved challenging them to computer games and other competitive fun pastimes.  He was a great lover of animals and doted on his four-legged children, his cats, Sulton, Lucy and Skritten.

Mr. Lawrence is survived by his loving brothers and sisters; James Lawrence Jr. of Taunton, Ralph Lawrence of S. Weymouth, Raymond Lawrence of Douglas, Susan Michaels of York, ME, Deborah Dunn of E. Taunton,  Laurie Fernandes of E. Taunton and Rick Hammerschmidt of Taunton. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 1 to 4 pm with a funeral service at 4 pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square ) in Taunton. (parking with handicap access is located on the north side of the funeral home)

Burial will be held privately.
