Kevin E. McKee, 65, of Taunton (formerly from Mansfield), passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on September 4, 2025, surrounded by family.

Kevin graduated from Mansfield High School in 1978. His passion for football and track prompted him to join the teams. Despite his small frame, he gave it his all and then some. He loved Chuck Mangione and Herb Alpert which inspired him to join the MHS band playing the trumpet and was proud to be involved in the band competitons.

After graduating, he joined the United States Marine Corps (USMC). He served his country as an Infantryman and later became an Amtrak Tanker crewman and was very proud of doing so. He enlisted in 1978 and was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal [E4] in 1981. He had much respect for anyone who joined the Military of any branch.

Kevin enjoyed watching the Patriots and Bruins. Loved the beach, hunting, wood burning, puzzles and barbecuing with family and friends. He looked forward to spending time with his daughter Jessica and granddaughter Charlotte any chance he had. 

Proudly maintaining his home for 20 years, where he resided with his partner Brenda Washburn. Before retiring, Kevin worked at various places such as, Sysco, CVS, Ames, and Caroline Logistics.

Born in Norwood, Kevin was the son of the late Linwood and Catherine (Parent) McKee. Besides his loving companion Brenda Washburn, Kevin is survived by his precious daughter Jessica McKee of Taunton, granddaughter Charlotte Mulvihill, brother of Karl McKee of Franklin, Kenneth McKee of Stoughton, Kurtis McKee of Franklin, Kim McKee of Taunton, Krisenn McKee of Woonsocket, and the late Karen McKee of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 10am to 11am followed by a small service at Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton MA 02780.

Interment Funeral with Military Honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or Taunton Veterans Department in Kevin’s memory, would be deeply appreciated.
