Kris Rodriguez-Frates

Kris Rodriguez-Frates, age 46 of Taunton, passed away on November 24, 2023 at Morton Hospital. Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of Robin Frates and Ivan Rodriguez. Kris was an intelligent, thoughtful woman with a big heart and amazing sense of humor. She was always considered the life of the party and well-versed and passionate about hip-hop music and celebrity gossip. Kris loved animals, especially her cat, Fatlip. She will be remembered for her caring personality and love for her friends and family. Kris cared so deeply for the people in her life. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her only nephew, Caiden. Kris had an amazing memory and enjoyed sharing entertaining stories with loved ones, a trait those around her cherished. Kris’ father, Ivan, who adored her greatly, describes her as follows: “I loved Kris from the day she was born to the day she left me. I needed her just as much as she needed me. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.”

Kris was predeceased by her loving grandparents, Jean Frates, Crucin (Grammy) & Jorge Rodriguez (Papi), and cousin, Troy Pina, who she considered her brother. In addition to her loving parents, Kris is survived by her sister: Lea Frates, nephew: Caiden Rivera and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Kris’s calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 3-6pm with a Funeral Home Service to begin at 6pm in the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway Taunton (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton. Interment will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends may gather at the main entrance of Cemetery at 10:45am.
