TAUNTON - Krystal Leigh "Krissy" Carvalho, mother of Joél Luis Davila of Taunton, died at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton on April 14, 2012.
She was 28.
Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of Rosemary (Chaves) Carvalho and the late Anthony J. Carvalho.
Krystal was a 2001 graduate of Taunton High School, and a graduate of Katherine Gibbs School.
She also attended Bridgewater State University.
A paralegal secretary, she was employed by Maui Jim Company Associates in Boston.
She also worked for the Ultra Lounge in Providence, and the School Street Bakery in Taunton.
A communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church, Krystal was a former Brownie, Girl Scout and Pop Warner cheerleader. She enjoyed music, playing softball and dancing, especially ballet, and had a keen interest in cosmetology.
She loved writing, including poetry and journaling.
Krystal's favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved son, Joél.
In addition to her mother and son, both of Taunton, she leaves a brother T. J. Carvalho of Taunton; two sisters, Kerri Dirocco of RI, and Cheryl Cordeiro of Fall River; her maternal grandmother, Maria Chaves of Taunton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, April 20th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 19th from 5 to 8 p.m.
