Kyle A. Machado, (TFD) age 28 of Taunton, passed away on August 14, 2026 atRhode Island Hospital.
Kyle is the beloved husband of Megan (Charette) Machado and the lovingfather of Lucas and Elena Machado. He also leaves behind his adored dogPenelope.
Kyle was born in Taunton, the son of Christian Machado and Rose (Viera)Trond.
He spent many years in the Middleboro School system where he made lifelong friends. He graduated in 2016 from Middleboro High School.
Kyle proudly served his country with the United States Navy from 2016 to 2024. From 2016 to 2021, he was stationed at Norfolk Naval Station on the USS Mitscher, where he served as an Operations Specialist. He then moved to Key West, Florida in 2021 where he was stationed at JIATF-South working as an Air Tactical Service Actions Officer and Staff Training Instructor. After serving in Key West, Kyle and his family moved back home to Taunton in 2024. During his years serving in the United States Navy, he was able to travel the world and make lifelong connections with many people. He leaves behind countless friends he made throughout his career, each of whom was fortunate enough to know his kindness, loyalty and genuine friendship.
Kyle graduated from the Fall River Fire Academy in 2026. He then served the City of Taunton as a Firefighter. Although his time on the department was short, his love for helping others was undeniable. It is a testament to Kyle's kindness that he made many friends in the short amount of time he had with his brothers and sisters in the department.
Besides his beloved wife Megan, his precious children Lucas and Elena, and his parents Christian and Rose, Kyle is survived by a brother Zander Trond, two sisters Alizandria Machado and Aubree Trond all of Middleboro, grandparents Dorothy (Trementozzi) Applei, Elmer and Kathleen Machado. He was also the uncle of Mia and Liam Marin-Machado. He is now reunited with his late grandfather William Applei, his late great grandparents Albert and Rita (Flannery) Machado who was there to welcome him with open arms.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 2 to 5pm in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton.
Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
Kyle’s funeral will be held on Monday, August 24th at 8:30am with a service to begin at 10am in the chapel of the Silva Funeral Home, followed by a military tribute. His burial will be held privately.
