RAYNHAM - Lea (Pena) Fernandes, wife of the late Joseph Fernandes, died at her Raynham home on May 26, 2012.
She was 103.
Born in Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Amelia Pena.
She came to this country as a young girl and was raised and educated in Newport, RI.
Mrs. Fernandes lived in Raynham for the past twenty years after residing in Randolph for a time.
She leaves a daughter, Jonia J. Goncalves of Raynham; a grandson, Rick Goncalves and his wife Stephanie of Raynham; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Madison Goncalves; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday May 31st at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Ann Church, Raynham at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery in Newport, RI.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday May 30th from 5 to 8 p.m.
