Leo E. Boucher, 100, died peacefully in his sleep on June 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of the late Cassilda “Cassie” (Costa) Boucher, the son of the late Ernest and Antoinette (Poulin) Boucher and brother of the late Theresa F. Pilotte.

Mr. Boucher was born and educated in Fall River, but spent most of his life in Taunton. Having enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, he was a WWII veteran.

After his service to his country, he spent 40 years working at Haskon Industries and retired in 1989.

A communicant of St. Jude the Apostle church, he enjoyed walking, reading and woodworking in his spare time.

Mr. Boucher is survived by his two children — daughter Diane, son Paul and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral with visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 8:30am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 259 Whittenton Street, Taunton.

Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 Myles Standish Blvd., Taunton.
