Leo Perry, formerly of Taunton, died unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford on June 7, 2009.
He was 65.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late John J. and Pauline (Pina Neves) Perry.
Educated in Taunton schools, he was employed as a construction laborer for many years, before retiring several years ago.
A longtime Taunton resident, he moved to New Bedford recently after residing in Raynham for a short time.
A communicant of St. Mary's Church in Taunton, Mr. Perry enjoyed playing pool and cards, bowling, dancing, and family gatherings.
He leaves 5 sisters, Flora Burgo, Julia Pina, and Jean Barros, all of Taunton, Dorothy Barros of E. Taunton, and Margaret Barboza of New Bedford; a godson, Troy Barboza of NC; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the bother of the late John, Alfred, Frank, George, Jack, William, Robert and Roger Perry; and the late Christine Reaves.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, June 12th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary's Church, Taunton, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 11th from 5 to 8 p.m.
