Lester Clarence Westgate

Lester C. Westgate, 82, of Taunton, passed away on July 25, 2019 at the Lifecare Center of Raynham. He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. (Baptista) Westgate. They were married for 62 years.

Born in Lakeville MA, he was the son of the late Clarence M. and Carrie (DeMoranville) Westgate.

Lester worked as a mechanic at Perry’s Service Station for many years.

He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Besides his wife Patricia, he leaves his children, Marianne Brum, of Jaffrey, NH, Susan Jones, of Taunton, MA, Lester C. Westgate, Jr., of Taunton, MA and Timothy Westgate, of Taunton, MA; a brother, Dennis Westgate; a sister, Karen Martin; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey, David, Roy, Danny, Christopher, Brian, Troy, Caitlyn, Nicholas, and Nathan; ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ronald, Madeline, Ruth, and Hilda.

At the request of his family, all funeral services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton.
