Lillian (Soares) Horton, age 88, of Taunton, passed away on December 23, 2018 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the wife of the late Edmund Horton.
Lillian was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Oliveira) Soares, Sr.
Before retirement, Mrs. Horton was employed with Swank Credit Union as a teller for 12 years. She was a graduate of Taunton High, loved Bingo and was very active in the Leisurewood community.
She was the loving mother of Sandra Pizziferri of Taunton, cherished grandmother of Alexia Pizziferri-Boisvert and her husband Judson, Jamie Gilliam and her husband Dane, great-grandmother of Gwendolyn Christine Boisvert and Taylor Olivia Gilliam. Lillian was the sister of Josephine Martin of Florida, Virginia Amaral and husband Joseph L., Helen white both of Taunton, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Manuel Soares, Jr, Harry Soares, Mae Galloway, Elsie Thomas and Anne Perry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10 am in Saint Anthony Church School Street in Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
