Lois Ellen (Pine) Powell, age 74 of North Dighton, passed away on June 11, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph L. Powell, Jr.
Lois was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late John and Lois (Prado) Pine.
Before retiring, Mrs. Powell was employed as an LPN for over 30 years with the former Dighton Nursing Home and then retiring from Drs. James and Kelly Hoye’s Practice after 15 years of caring for patients. She enjoyed walking her dog Niko, her passion was bird watching, especially hummingbirds, caring for all types of animals, country music, reading and photographing her family and friends.
Besides her beloved husband Joseph of over 56 years, she is survived by her loving son, Joseph L. Powell III and his wife Anabela of North Dighton. She was the grandmother of Shelby Ann Cimbron, Joseph Leo Powell, IV and John Joseph Powell.
Mrs. Powell’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 8:30 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church, Spring Street in North Dighton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
