Lois Wakefield-Perry (née White), aged 88, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, in Brockton, MA. Born on August 8, 1935, in Saugus, MA, she was a beloved member of her community throughout her life.

Lois was involved in each of the churches that her husband Charles pastored, volunteering, singing in the choir, and teaching Sunday School.

Lois dedicated many years to the Raynham Schools and worked extensively in banking before serving as the tax collector in Assonet. Her commitment to service was further demonstrated through her decade-long volunteer work at a Baby Center in Hyannis, where she cherished caring for infants while their parents selected necessary items.

Beyond her professional and volunteer contributions, Lois was an avid reader and skilled in quilting, knitting, and painting. She took great joy in creating items for those less fortunate, showcasing her generous spirit and creative talents.

Lois was married to Rev. Charles Wakefield for 45 years until his passing in 1998. The couple was blessed with three children: Stephen, wife Shirley, Janice McGovern, husband Michael, and James, wife Susan. Lois found joy in her role as a grandmother to eight grandchildren: David, Sean, Stacey, Nicholas, Khala, Leslie, Russell, and Philip, and was also a great-grandmother to nine.

In 2000, Lois remarried Anthony Perry of South Dennis, sharing 23 loving years together until his passing in February 2024. She enjoyed Anthony's children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vida White, her brothers William and Rev. Herbert White, and her sister Thelma Caffarella. She is survived by her brother Rev. Richard White.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday , August 16th, at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church, U.C.C. in Raynham, where her first husband once pastored. Lois will be laid to rest at Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Bridgewater, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Music Fund at First Congregational Church, Raynham, MA, honoring Lois's love for the community and her lasting impact.
